tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3811296754727980243.post-69282342350877951152008-01-11T22:50:00.001+01:002008-01-11T22:50:01.041+01:00अध्याय ३ श्लोक ४२-४३ इच्छा - अजेय शत्रुChapter 3: Verse 42-43 विषय: इच्छा - अजेय शत्रु Subject: Desire — The Invincible Enemy इन्द्रियाणि पराण्याहुरिन्द्रियेभ्यः परं मनः। मनसस्तु परा बुद्धिर्यो बुद्धेः परतस्तु सः॥३-४२॥ The senses are said to be superior (to the physical / gross body), superior is the mind to the senses, the intellect is superior to the mind and He (the Self) is even superior to the intellect. इन्द्रियों को स्थूल शरीर से पर यानी श्रेष्ठ, बलवान और सूक्ष्म कहते हैं। इन इन्द्रियों से पर मन है, मन से भी पर बुध्दि है और जो बुध्दि से भी अत्यन्त पर है वह आत्मा है। ॥४२॥ एवं बुद्धेः परं बुद्ध्वा संस्तभ्यात्मानमात्मना। जहि शत्रुं महाबाहो कामरूपं दुरासदम्॥३-४३॥ Thus, knowing the Self, being superior to intellect, (after) purifying the mind (by the intellect) and having established in the Self, O Mighty Armed, you slay this invincible enemy in the form of desire (kama). Kill this  great enemy with the sword of knowledge Lesson: The Self- embodied is superior to the gross, subtle and the casual body.Conquer the invincible enemy, in the form of desire, by completely establishing in the Self, having purified the mind by the intellect (true knowledge of the Self). इस प्रकार बुद्धि से पर अर्थात सूक्ष्म, बलवान और अत्यन्त श्रेष्ठ आत्मा को जानकर और बुद्धि द्वारा मन को वश में करके हे महाबाहो! तू इस कामरूप दुर्जय शत्रु को मार डाल। ॥४३॥ -: इति तृतीयोऽध्याय :- RC Mishranoreply@blogger.com
