None should come under their sway for these are two major stumbling blocks on the path of Self-realization. Lesson: Perform your duty without being influenced by attachments and aversions for sense-objects which create obstacles in the process of Self-realization. इन्द्रिय-इन्द्रिय के अर्थ में अर्थात प्रत्येक इन्द्रिय के विषय में राग और द्वेष छिपे हुए स्थित हैं। मनुष्य को उन दोनों के वश में नहीं होना चाहिए क्योंकि वे दोनों ही इसके कल्याण मार्ग में विघ्न करने वाले महान् शत्रु हैं। ॥३४॥ Subject: Obligatory Work (Duty) विषय: कर्त्तव्य श्रेयान्स्वधर्मो विगुणः परधर्मात्स्वनुष्ठितात्। स्वधर्मे निधनं श्रेयः परधर्मो भयावहः॥३-३५॥ It is better to perform ones own duty. Own duty (svadharmah), how- so- ever deficiently performed, is superior to the well-accomplished duty of some one else   (prescribed for some one else). Better is death in   one’s own duty, as there always remains fear while performing the duty of some one else. Lesson: For liberation from fear, perform your own obligatory duty rather than attending to the jobs prescribed for some one else. अच्छी तरह से आचरण में लाए हुए दूसरे के धर्म से गुण रहित भी अपना धर्म अति उत्तम है। अपने धर्म में तो मरना भी कल्याणकारक है और दूसरे का धर्म भय को देने वाला है। ॥३५॥ RC Mishranoreply@blogger.com
